Monument record TR 23 NW 711 - Second World War pillbox, Folkestone Harbour

Summary

A Second World War pillbox is visible as a structure on aerial photographs taken in 1942, though it has been removed on aerial photographs taken in 1945. The pillbox appears to be hexagonal, and is located on the gridiron just off the viaduct in the middle of Folkestone harbour. This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2).
