A Second World War pillbox is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 as a structure on the western edge of St Marys Bay. This feature was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East RCZAS NMP project.

Full Description
The pillbox is centred at TR 0888 2797, on the western side of the Hythe and Dymchurch Light Railway (Monument Number 1357333). It measures approximately four to five metres across, and is possibly a Type 24 pillbox. It lies approximately 152m to the south-west of a Second World War Type 23 pillbox (Monument Number 1535467).
