Summary

A Second World War possible pillbox is visible as a building on aerial photographs taken in 1942, though it has been demolished on aerial photographs taken in 1959. The site comprises a square pill box which measures 5 metres square. This pill box is located on the coastal road, at the centre of a barbed wire obstruction (NMR: 1531810) which extends to the west. This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2).
