Monument record MWX51410 - Second World War roadblock, west end of West Parade, Hythe

Summary

A Second World War road block is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942 and has been mapped as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP. The road block is located at the west end of West Parade, Hythe and centred at TR 1636 3418. The road block is defined by anti tank cubes and other removable road blocks forming either a hedgehog or hairpin arrangement. The road block was removed after the war.
