A Second World War roadblock is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942. The road block is located at the junction of Victoria Road and West Parade, Hythe. The road block is defined by two rows of anti tank cubes or cylinders in front of a Haven house and other removable road blocks forming either a hedgehog or hairpin arrangement. The road block was removed after the war.

Full Description

A Second World War road block is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942 and has been mapped as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP. The road block is located at the junction of Victoria Road and West Parade, Hythe and centred at TR 1616 3411. The road block is defined by two rows of anti tank cubes or cylinders in front of a Haven house and other removable road blocks forming either a hedgehog or hairpin arrangement. The road block was removed after the war. (1)
