Monument record MWX51418 - Second World War slit trench
Summary
A Second World War slit trench is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1946, though the site has been levelled on aerial photographs taken in 2002. The slit trench measures 25 metres long, with four discrete spoil heaps on the seaward side. This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2).
