Monument record MWX51422 - Second World War trench
Summary
A Second World War trench is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs within the sandy dunes of the Hythe Firing Ranges (Monument Number 1531850) immediately south of Dmychurch Road. The short trench measures no more than 35meters in length and was possibly to be used as a defensive firing position. The trench was subsequently levelled after the war.
