Full Description
A Twentieth Century firing range is visible as a series of earthworks on aerial photographs and is depicted on Ordnance Survey mapping. The site is centred on TR 2977 3956 and measures circa 165 metres north-south and 112 metres east-west. The available aerial photographs which cover this area have been examined as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2), but the site was not drawn as it was fully depicted on the 1907 Ordnance Survey map. The extent of the site has been outlined and the earthworks are still extant on aerial photographs taken in 2007 (1-2).
