Full Description
A large Second World War bomb crater is visible on aerial photographs of 1941 as a hollow in a small field amongst the houses of Dunkirk End. This feature has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East RCZAS NMP project. The bomb crater is centred at TR 0982 2919, and measures approximately 14m in diameter. This area has subsequently been developed for housing, and the site of the bomb crater now lies within the back gardens of houses on the southern side of Mill Road (1).
