Summary
A length of Second World War beach defence is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942. The beach defence is located along the beach between Hythe and Sandgate. It is not clear from the aerial photographs whether this is beach scaffolding or barbed wire or another type of beach defence. The beach defences were removed after the war.
