Summary

A linear section of Second World War barbed wire obstructions is visible on aerial photographs within the Hythe Firing Ranges (Monument Number 1531850), south of Palmarsh. The barbed wire forms part of the anti invasion defences and obstacles within the Hythe Ranges and was subsequently removed after the war.
