Monument record MWX51496 - Possible Second World War pillbox west of the Seabrook Lodge footbridge

Summary

A possible Second World War pillbox is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1941. The square pillbox is located on the northern bank of the Royal Military Canal to the west of the Seabrook Lodge footbridge. The pillbox appears to have suffered a direct hit from a bomb as the pillbox is not visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942, instead a crater occupies the site.
