A probably Second World War practice trench is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs taken in 1942. The site is centred on TR 2405 3684 and comprises a single crenallated trench with rectilinear protrusions. This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2)(1).
