Full Description

The group of buildings is centred at TR 0581 1865, and extends across an area measuring approximately 175m east to west and 190m north to south. Their plan view and layout suggests a Second World War date, as well as the fact that they are not recorded on Ordnance Survey maps of 1940 or earlier. These buildings may have served as accommodation blocks. The buildings had been removed by the time of the next available aerial photograph of 1962 (1-2).

The features appears to be camouflaged pumps associated with PLUTO - the PipeLine Under The Ocean (21 fuel pipelines under the English Channel to France in second world war). (3-4)
