Monument record TR 13 SW 180 - Blocks of probable post medieval drainage are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s

Summary

Blocks of probable post medieval drainage are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s. The drainage is defined by straight and narrow ridges and resembles post medieval cultivation, but it is more likely to be related to the drainage of the marsh as seen on other marshland areas. The drainage earthworks have subsequently been plough levelled as the result of modern cultivation.
