Full Description

Lengths of Second World War barbed wire obstructions are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942 and has been mapped as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP. The barbed wire is located in front of the Imperial Hotel and extends from TR 1700 3442 to TR 1685 3442, and extends from TR 1693 3440 to TR 1681 3434 behind the Second World War coastal gun battery (Monument Number 1422552). The barbed wire was removed after the war. (1)
