Summary

Second World War barbed wire obstructions are visible on aerial photographs at Palmarsh, either side of the Dynmchurch Road. The barbed wire obstructions surround an entrance to the Hythe firing Ranges (Monument Number 1531850). The barbed wire was subsequently removed after the war.

Full Description

Second World War barbed wire obstructions are visible on aerial photographs at Palmarsh, either side of the Dynmchurch Road at TR 1365 3325 and have been mapped as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment NMP. The barbed wire obstructions surround an entrance to the Hythe firing Ranges (Monument Number 1531850). The barbed wire was subsequently removed after the war. (1)
