Site of Second World War heavy anti aircraft (Diver) battery at Hythe, deployed here on 23rd August 1944. It was redeployed here from TR124332 on 23rd August 1944. This formed part of the Littlestone Section of American Anti Aircraft Mobile Battalion Heavy Anti Aircraft Artillery. The battery was not clearly visible on historical aerial photographs at this location, but some ground disturbance may indicate its location.
