Full Description

Site of a Second World War light anti aircraft (Diver) battery at Hythe Ranges. This was armed with six anti aircraft tanks and twin Oerlikon guns on 28th August 1944. The manning details are unknown. (1) The Second World War light anti aircraft (Diver) battery referred to above (Soucre 1) was not visible at the given location on the available historic aerial photographs (taken in 1945 and 1946) viewed as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment NMP.
