Full Description
Pillbox, designated as of anti-tank strength [shown on German map of defences in East Kent]. Pillbox [Sector 4]. Cassini ref 673539.East Folkestone. (1) The available aerial photographs which cover this area have been examined as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2), and there was no visible sign of the site at this location. However, there does seem to be a structure with some height at the centre of the harbour wall, at TR 2353 3605, although this is not definite enough to map. It is still present in 1945, but has been removed by 1947 (2-3).
