Full Description

The group of three Second World War bomb craters is centred at TR 0418 1773. They vary between 11m to 16m in diameter, and are spaced 83m and 43m apart. They are arranged in a line which is roughly aligned WSW to ENE. They are situated in a field adjacent to a contemporary firing range, which lies on the coastal shingle just to the west (Monument Number 1539764). This may have been the intended target for the bombs. Lidar imagery of November 2008 to January 2008 shows that the bomb craters are still faintly extant (1-2).
