Two Second World War bomb craters are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs at Palmarsh, Hythe. The craters are the result of enemy bombing on this part of the Kent coastline. The craters were subsequently levelled after the war.

Full Description

Three Second World War bomb craters are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs, at Palmarsh, Hythe and have been mapped as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP. The craters are centred at TR 1352 3355 and TR 1358 3355 and were the result of enemy bombing on this part of the Kent coastline. The craters were subsequently levelled after the war. (1)
