Full Description
SW of Cliffsend.Pillbox [Sector 7]. Cassini ref 782816
This structure was mapped from military aerial photographs as part of the SE Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey. It was first visible and has been mapped from aerial photographs taken in May 1942 (1) and is still visible on photographs taken in January 1946 (2). It is gone by April 1950 (3). The rectangular structure has been built over a circular mound and measures 4.8m by 3.5m. See record MWX43191 for more information regarding the other associated military features.
