Full Description
Richborough Power Station was built in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It was initially coal fired but switched to oil in 1971. Rising oil prices lead to another change to burning Orimulsion in 1990 but this was abandoned in 1996 and the station decommissioned. The cooling towers and chimney were demolished in 2012. (1)
