Full Description
Second World War Auxiliary Fire Service station in All Saints Road, Northfleet. It was established in 1939 as part of an enhanced fire service provision in anticipation of fires to be expected from bombing in a war with Germany. It became a part of the reorganised National Fire Service in 1941. The appearance of the building is not known but it was used for garaging of a fire appliance. There were crew quarters in an adjacent house. It would have been decommisioned for war emergency purposes at the end of the Second World War in Europe in 1945. It is understood have resumed in use as a fire station sometime post war but the building was demolished around 1975.
