Summary

A late Bronze Age Founder's hoard was found in 1875 at Home Wood Farm near Allhallows. The hoard of 25 objects included 9 socketed axes (some broken), 2 or 3 socketed gouges, a socketed spearhead, a hog-back knife, 9 bronze ingots, fragments of four swords and the bronze pommel or chape of one. These finds are now in the British Museum.
