Brickworks with large area of extraction at TQ 9223 6494. Shown on O.S. 1st ed 6" map, sheet 21, 1865. Much extended to the South on 2nd ed. 6" map, sheet 33 NW. (TQ 6478 6435). In use right up until the revised edition of 1938. Boundary of pits uncertain in SE section.
