Summary

Conyer Brickworks were shown on the 2nd edition of the Ordnance Survey in 1897 and in the subsequent 1909 and 193 editions. Site photographs were taken in 1946 and 1994. By 2005 the brickworks had been demolished and was overgrown, but extensive concrete areas and rubble werestill visible.

Full Description

Conyer brickworks shown on O.S. 6" map, 2nd ed, sheet 21 SE (1897). 6" map, 3rd ed- shows kilns at TQ 9617 6485 (1909). Still working on revised ed. of 1939- O.S. 6", 21, SE. (1) and site photographs (2-12).The brick works has been demolished, there are no upstanding structures apparent, the site is overgrown with trees, shrubs and grasses.( There are extensive concreted areas and some rubble visible.
