Abstract/Summary
This is the interim report on the excavations within the Flint Cave (the Grotto). The Grotto was part of the ornamental post-medieval landscape, one of a dozen follies at the site. The removal of overburden from within the cave, revealed a well built structure which showed few signs of recent collapse.
