Abstract/Summary
This watching brief involved the observation of groundworks associated with the construction of two houses on land adjacent to 34 Queens Road. The site had been levelled before the initial visit took place. The foundation trenches were inspected. The shallow remains of a posthole were observed, together with two modern features, a shaft and a pit. The shaft backfill contained modern brick fragments and several worked flints. No other archaeological features were observed.
