Abstract/Summary
Two Trial pits were cut within the forecourt of the Baptist Chuch, no significant archaeological features were recorded. In the first test pit rubble from the deliberate backfill of the Victorian cellars was noted and in the second pit a brick wall built on top of a cylindrical stone pillar was recorded. At the base of this pit a clay layer with bone and oyster shell inclusions was interpreted as an occupation layer.
