Abstract/Summary
48 features - pits, postholes, possible cesspit. Dating from prehistoric to C19th. Postsherds, C17th clay pipe (230 pieces), two tokens (Nuremburg jettons), corroded nails and some glass sherds found. 560 potsherds recovered. Single Iron Age/Roman potsherd. Some medieval potsherds (C11-14th) Cooking pots, jugs and shells. Majority of finds are post-medieval mainly C17th with only a few 16th, 18th/19th finds. Creation of fabric list proposed for the post medieval material, fully publishing larger groups (of which there are 2-3) of finds.
