Abstract/Summary

A report detailing the results of an historic buildings appraisal of the former Swan inn. The former Swan Inn is a grade II listed building located in the centre of the historic village of Sutton Vallence. It is proposed to change the use of the building to wholly residential. The assessment was commissioned as a requirement to support the change of use. Only a few significant period fixtures and fittings survive within the building. Some of the buildings original structure still survives internally, and these are considered signficant. Later walls and partitions which are insignificant with alterations to these being considered as possible. Without detailed plans of proposed changes the general assessment is limited in providing basic and generalised advice.
