Abstract/Summary
Archaeological evaluation carried out at land adjacent to the A2, Faversham. It was proposed to be part of a planning application submission. The work revealed remains of a Roman road crossing the site, orientated NE-SW, and the remains of another road parellel to Watling Street. A Roman inhumation burial, two possible inhumations, two cremations and Roman features were also revealed. The extant of the 1920's excavation was verified. One pit contained medieval (mid 13th - late 14th century) pottery.
