Detailed planning permission has been granted for the erection of a detached dwelling Smith House, to the west of Rock House on the north western edge of the village of Boughton Monchelsea, near Maidstone in Kent. An historic landscape assessment has been undertaken to fulfil a condition requiring the recording of any features of archaeological or historical interest within the application site in order to inform and guide detailed mitigation measures, prior to construction work.
