Title Sections of the Married Soldiers Quarters at Western Heights, the associated wash house and laundry at the Grand Shaft Barracks.
Author/Originator
Date/Year 1872

Abstract/Summary

Hand-tinted sections of the Married Soldiers Quarters at Western Heights, the associated wash house and laundry at the Grand Shaft Barracks and a site plan including the surrounding buildings. Created as a record drawing. The drawings include a few measurements and notes on construction. The original plan was drawn up on the 15th January 1872 but was revised in red ink on the 20th April 1904 and 8th October 1910. The earlier revisions are a paler shade of red and show the addition of an extension at the rear. These later revisions are a darker red and indicate further additions to the building. The site plan was also crossed out with a note to see the revised Barrack Atlas Plan.
