Abstract/Summary
Hand-tinted sections, plans and an elevation of the drawbridge at the southern entrance to Western Heights with a pencil sketch showing the method of securing the girders. The drawbridge is a bridge spanning three piers, the last span between the gate and end pier lifts like a drawbridge. There are two cross sections and one longitudinal section that is half section, half elevation. The plans show the piers, joists and top. The pencil sketch showing details of the girders is unscaled but at a much larger scale than the others. There is an old pencil note indicating the drawings are 'supposed to be a record drawing'. The plan is signed D Clark who on other drawings appears to be a draftsman for the Royal Engineers.
