Abstract/Summary
Report on an archaeological evaluation of land at Shorncliffe 2B, Folkestone, Kent. Of the 9 trenches
excavated, 6 contained archaeological features and were all confined to the northeast section of
the site. The archaeological features comprised mainly of construction cuts and brick structures
that relate to the use of the northeast section of Shorncliffe Area 2B during the 19th century, with a
series of huts and buildings noted on the 1883 Shorncliffe Map of the garrison.
