Abstract/Summary
Report on an archaeological evaluation at Wraik Hill, near Whitstable, carried out in 1999. The evaluation uncovered evidence for ditches, gullies and large amorphous pits dating to the late Iron Age period, and further excavation uncovered evidence for rubbish pits, probable clay extraction pits, hearths, clamp/bonfire kilns or, more likely, bread ovens, and ditches, and a substantial track or roadway.
