IC091/005 Conjectural reconstruction illustration of the west elevation of the west towers of the church at St Augustine's Abbey, based on a survey of the remains of St Ethelbert's Tower (the northernmost tower) as it appeared in 1798 A survey and drawing was created by a JC Carter in 1798, and his recorded elevation of St Ethelbert's Tower is shown in sepia (beige) watercolour. This elevation, along with the ground plan of the southern tower, has formed the basis for the conjectural reconstruction of the rest of this facade, created by illustrator Terry Ball in 1991 and is shown in grey watercolour.
