Abstract/Summary
Report on a watching brief of geo-technical augering at the site of St Mildred's Tannery, Canterbury. The watching brief revealed evidence for Roman features including street metallings, buildings, yard surfaces, and features associated with the Roman river. Later elements of the site (including a trackway, metallings, and a floor surface were thought to date to the Anglo-Saxon period. Medieval floors, metallings, and ditches were also identified at the site.
