Abstract/Summary
Results of an archaeological Strip Map and Sample excavation at at Margate Caves, Northdown Road, Margate. The archaeology found during the SMS is likely to be an extension of the enclosed settlement associated with the possible promontory fort at Hill Fort some 250m away The SMS also provided an insight into the former Post- Medieval and modern houses that were once present on site.
