Abstract/Summary
Results of an archaeological excavation carried out off Manston Road, Margate which exposed evidence for later prehistoric occupation activity (almost certainly Bronze Age and Early Iron Age) in the area in the form of a ditch, which ran diagonally across the site. Similarly indicative were potsherds and stuck flint flakes found in a pit-like feature, almost all of which had been cut away by two Second World War trenches, and by purposively struck flint flakes present, probably as residual material, recovered from the uppermost backfill of a medieval pit.
