1302434 Grand Shaft Barracks AF00098 Dover Western Heights, The Grand Shaft Barracks The survey of The Grand Shaft Barracks was carried out by RCHME Cambridge office between February and June 1999 as part of the Western Heights Project. The survey was undertaken at the request of Kent County Council as part of an Interreg II programme relating to historic fortifications in Kent, Nord-Pas de Calais and West Flanders. The survey was also partly funded by Dover District Council. Revised report written 2004.
