Abstract/Summary
Evaluation of site at West Wood. No evidence so far of any intensive prehistoric or later activity. Low densities of struck flints were found in most trenches dug. Evaluation of possible barrow mounds suggest that two are ploughed upcasts from a hollow/sunken way. A trench was excavated through the mound of another possible barrow and no evidence for an encircling ditch was found. The presence of struck flints suggests that the feature relates to PR activity, although whether it represents a barrow or not is not certain.
