1. 944 KING STREET (North West Side) No 8 (Monastery Cottage) TR 1458 SE 2/298 3.5.67. II GV 2. This was originally a monastic building belonging to Blackfriars Monastery. A timber-framed building refaced in C17. 2 storeys stuccoed. Old tiled roof with 1 restored brick stack. 2 mullioned casements with leaded lights. Rainwater head. Curved brace. Right side doorcase is recessed and has a wooden studded door. The rear elevation has a gable and is timber-framed. Group value with No 7. Listing NGR: TR1489658038
