Description

1. 944 HIGH STREET (North East Side) Nos 20 & 20A TR 1457 NE 4/310 II GV 2. Originally part of the George Inn, this is a C15 timber-framed building refaced in the C19 containing a Mediaeval cellar and gallery. The exterior is early C19. 3 storeys stuccoed. Old tiled roof with bracket cornice and quoins. 4 sashes with vertical glazing bars only, set in Italiamte architraves. The Public Library and Museum at Beaney Institute, Nos 20, 20A, 21, 24 & King`s Bridge form a group. Listing NGR: TR1484657911
