Called after a former owner named Dr Ludwell but originally built by the Poole family. Early C18. Two storeys attics and cellars red brick and grey headers alternatively. Hipped tiled roof with 3 dormers and bracket eaves cornice. Painted stringcourse. Five sashes with glazing bars intact. Porch with Tuscan columns at the head of 5 steps. Round headed doorcase in this with semi-circular fanlight and door of 8 fielded panels. The house retains the original iron spear railings to its forecourt.
