Description

TR 0653-0753 7/25 CHILHAM THE STREET (north side) Cumberland House (Formerly listed under HIGH STREET, previously listed as Robins Croft and Robins Cottage) 13.10.52 GV II Hall House. Late C15. Close-studded timber frame with red brick plinth, plain tile roof. 2 storeys on plinth; continuous first floor jetty. Eaves cornice to hipped roof with gablets, with 2 projecting end stacks and 1 central stack. The central bays with jettied floor joists at higher level than side bays indicated inserting floor. Irregular fenestration of 5 C20 wooden casement windows to first floor, with 3 C20 segmental bays to ground floor and C20 plank door to centre right. Listing NGR: TR0692553598. Selected Sources .
