Description
1. 5272 CHARING NEWLANDS ROAD Chapel at Newlands Stud Farm (formerly listed as Barn at Newlands Farmhouse (remains of Norman Chapel)) TQ 94 NW 10/74A 17.9.52 II* GV 2. A late Norman chapel since converted into a barn. It originally consisted of a chancel, a nave and a south aisle, but the aisle has disappeared. The chancel and nave, without arch between them, remain. Built of stone rubble. Hipped tiled roof. In the north wall is a good round-headed doorway, now bricked up. Queen post roof. Aumbry.
